73. The Taylor House, Taylorsville, GA, 12″ x 12″, plein air in oil. Elegant in decay, this house, scheduled for restoration, presides over the small town of Taylorsville. It is vacant, but hung from the porch eave and flapping in the breeze was a faded yellow dress, a remnant from past occupant.

I made the most of this bouquet! Painting the drooping, shedding flowers was was fun and liberating, and perhaps appropriate for Halloween.

#65. A portrait of Col. Seagram Jones, commissioned by the Rockmart History Museum to commemorate the 200th year of his birth. Mr Jones was pivotal in development of Rockmart, donating land for its original churches, the town square, cemetery, park, and other public places.
