The Taylor House

73. The Taylor House, Taylorsville, GA, 12″ x 12″, plein air in oil. Elegant in decay, this house, scheduled for restoration, presides over the small town of Taylorsville. It is vacant, but hung from the porch eave and flapping in the breeze was a faded yellow dress, a remnant from past occupant.

#71. Last Rays of Summer, 12′ x 12″, in oil.

I made the most of this bouquet! Painting the drooping, shedding flowers was was fun and liberating, and perhaps appropriate for Halloween.
