#30. Regal Cinema, Avalon, Alpharetta, 20″ x 16″ plein air in oil (Sold). This painting was challenging. It was difficult to portray the purple pink glow of the building’s arches; fun though. It was awarded Second Place in the Professional Division.

Again, I include a second photograph because the glare in the first photo causes the sky to seem lighter.

This was painted during the 2024 Alpharetta “Paint the Town” Plein Air Event. I show two photographs because neither are quite how the actual painting looks. The top one has the light and sparkle of water; the lower photograph shows some of the detail that is visible, but appears too dark.
