      Dear G,
      Gouache is opaque watercolor, which offers coverage over previous layers, somewhat like acrylic paint; however, unlike acrylic, gouache allows some removal after drying. It is often used in conjunction with regular watercolor paint.
      It’s a useful outdoor sketch paint and I hope to use it more.
